Welcome to the Snorri Society New Zealand

History & Literature

We encourage and promote all positive means of broadening and deepening contacts between New Zealanders with an interest in Iceland and people in the Nordic countries.

Art & Music

We offer a place to meet for those who enjoy speaking Icelandic and are interested in Icelandic history, literature, art, music, cooking, baking, films, and current events.

Films & Current Events

We have links to other Icelandic organisations and institutions in New Zealand and the world, and we encourage all interested parties to participate in our diverse events.

Our Mission

We are an eclectic group of individuals whose aim is to promote the Icelandic language and foster interest in Icelandic culture.
